Hello again, now we will try to describe the Business opportunity for the regular person not as a hardware production or even an telecommunications operator, but yes as a regular person or maybe just a business man. If we see in a functionality, cell phone just as an telecommunication device but if we see from the technology, we will found many of the business opportunity, here is some of them:
1. Short Messaging Service Content
Yes with this service we are able to generate money from that. With the capability of the SMS(Short Messaging Service) which can push a message to all of the user in the world, we can send another message to such as an advertisement message, tips and trick, or even job opportunity message.
2. Ring Back Tone
Remember when you call your friend and you should wait a minutes? What will you hear from this machine? Just a bip sound right? In Indonesia, some of musician cooperate with the telecommunications company and built a service that replace the waiting tone (bip sound) with the cool song from the musician. This is great right? So are you a musician?
3. On Device Portal Application
Talking about the technology, now most of the cell phone around the world is support the On Device Application with many platform. As we know the most supported platform is Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME), but there is so many another platform supported by the cell phone. This is the opportunity for the programmer like me :D. we will discuss this opportunity next post.
